GIOIA ("joy-a") PILATES serves as the premier Pilates Method Equipment Studio for Mercer County, New Jersey and Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Gioia Pilates strives to help clients achieve a the leaner body utilizing TheMethod® Pilates as developed in the 1920s by the legendary physical trainer, Joseph H. Pilates. Pilates is a full body system based on a specific sequenced exercises performed either on a surface mat or specially designed equipment. The method is centered on the concepts of awareness, balance, breath, centering, concentration, control, flowing movement, and precision. The principle goal of Pilates is to uniformly develop the body and mind. 


Our Mission

GIOIA PILATES’ mission is to offer a variety of Pilates exercise options to meet and improve the fitness lifestyle of their clients. As a certified instructor, Gioia works with clients to improve strength, flexibility, toning and overall balance; provide a safe, low-impact workout for those with injuries, ailments and pre or post natal; design programs for those with specific goals including sports training and weight loss; and offer clients a friendly and welcoming environment that is not intimidating. 


Founder's Bio

Gioia Fumo-Miranda, the sole proprietor of GIOIA PILATES LLC, has been a fitness professional since 1989, in the role of a Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer and Aerobics Instructor.  As an instructor she has taught group fitness classes such as Pilates, Low Impact Aerobics, Step, Kickboxing, Power Pacing, Yoga stretching class, as well as Body Shaping utilizing free weights, Swiss Ball, Tubes, Bands and Body Bar. 

She has spent hundred's of hours, studying and training to become a knowledgeable, certified professional Pilate's instructor, and continues to hone her craft by attending various seminars and workshops around the country every year.  

As a personal trainer since 2000 she has had proven results with her individual clients by specializing in Pilates, the Swiss Ball and BOSU Balance Trainer.  She currently teaches at several fitness gyms, corporate fitness centers and trains individuals in her fully equipped private studio.
